The program emphasizes those essential soft skills (such as, resume writing, interviewing techniques, time management, etc.) that employment customers need to obtain and retain a job in a competitive professional environment.

The UPO Petey Greene Community Center in Washington, DC is located in Ward 8 and serves as both a community meeting space and training location for the community of Anacostia. The center houses a number of employment training programs including the “Workforce Readiness Training,” and other a number of other support services provided by UPO.
