2012 NASCSP AWARDS

NASCSP’s membership proudly recognizes extraordinary contributions made to NASCSP and to the programs that NASCSP represents.

The Marjorie J. Witherspoon NASCSP Award is presented to a current or former NASCSP member for significant service or support of NASCSP and/or length of service to NASCSP. The recipient for 2012 is Jim Nolan, Chief, Intergovernmental Human Services Bureau, Montana Public Health and Human Services.

The Ann Kagie CSBG Award is presented to an individual involved in CSBG activities at the national, state or local level and for significant technological or program contributions and/or tenure with the program.  The recipient for 2012 is John Drew, President/CEO, Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD).

The James Gardner Weatherization Award is presented to an individual in the Weatherization Program at the national, state or local level for significant technological or program contributions and/or tenure with the program. The recipient for 2012 is Ken Robinette, Executive Director, South Central Community Action Programs (SCCAP).

This year, Jean Diggs, who recently retired as an Energy Technology Programs Specialist, U.S. DOE/OWIP, was presented the WAP Champion Award for dedication, commitment and service to the Weatherization Assistance Program through her work for 34 years at the U.S. Department of Energy. In her honor, the WAP Champion Award has been renamed the Jean Diggs WAP Champion Award .
