CHP Energy Solutions, training at Southface Institute’s Building Science Center, offers Weatherization Training to students throughout Georgia. Since their inception in 1999, CHP Energy Solutions has trained over 30,000 students across the United States, Canada, and Argentina. Their training is complimented by their unique, proprietary House of Pressure, which has become such a popular training aid that they now manufacture it for universities, utilities, and training centers throughout the country. The House of Pressure visually demonstrates residential pressure and air flow dynamics so that weatherization and private contractors, alike, can more easily understand the benefits of home performance diagnostics and whole-house energy improvements.
Located in Atlanta, GA, Southface Institute is a sustainable building nonprofit that strengthens equity and the environment by transforming residential and commercial structures at every stage of the building life cycle. Since 1978, Southface has collaborated with other nonprofits, businesses, builders, developers, universities, government agencies, and communities to deliver practical solutions with tangible results for the planet and all its inhabitants.
