60 Years of Community Action
The Economic Opportunity Act established Community Action and was signed in 1964. Join us in celebrating!
Who We Are
The National Association for State Community Services Programs (NASCSP) is a professional association whose members are state administrators of the Community Services Block Grant Program (CSBG) and the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP). NASCSP is the premier national association charged with advocating and enhancing the leadership role of states in preventing and reducing poverty.
What We Do
The NASCSP vision calls for the empowerment of low-income families. NASCSP helps states attain full utilization of resources to implement an extensive array of services to families. These include weatherization, energy assistance, child care, nutrition, employment, state energy programs, job training, asset development, and housing in urban, suburban and rural communities.
