The Initial Comment Period for ROMA Next Generation ran from March 3, 2016 to April 13, 2016. In the past two weeks since the comment period closed, NASCSP has worked with OCS to review the feedback from the CSBG Network. Thank you for all your incredible hard work and valuable feedback during the Initial Comment Period for ROMA Next Generation! We heard from over 50 percent of the community action agencies across the nation, state agencies, and state associations – an incredible number and a mark of how fully invested and engaged this network is with ROMA Next Generation, given that the average response rate for surveys is between 20 and 30 percent! We truly appreciate the submission of your feedback through surveys, emails, webinar participation, letters, calls, and in-person interactions. OCS and NASCSP are hard at work reviewing all your feedback, and beginning the process of modifying the ROMA Next Generation framework to incorporate and respond to your comments. As we review your feedback, we are also paying special attention to things that could have been clearer so that we can develop clearer guidance as we move forward with ROMA Next Generation.

There will be two additional opportunities for the CSBG Network to provide feedback. OCS will hold a 60-day public comment period and a 30-day comment period before final ROMA Next Generation package is submitted for OMB clearance. NASCSP is your resource for assistance in reviewing this material.
