The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) has been around for over 40 years and has served over 7.4 million households, saving families money and making their homes healthier and safer. The WAP also supports at least 8,500 jobs and thousands more in related industries across the supply chain.
From the very beginning of the WAP’s history, women have been a driving force in weatherization. In March, Women’s History Month, NASCSP will be doing a month-long feature on the Women of Weatherization. NASCSP will highlight some of the women working across the country in the Weatherization Assistance Program. You will hear from state managers, energy auditors, installers, quality control inspectors, and more! You can join the conversation on social media with the hashtag: #WomenOfWAP
