Over the last three decades, we have presented on-site training at national energy and weatherization conferences, state conferences, for local weatherization agencies, and for public gas and electric utilities. Many of our training sessions include both classroom and field training.
On-site training we have recently presented includes:
· ASHRAE 62.2-2016, classroom and field
· Installing ventilation in WAP houses
· Cost analysis of operating residential ventilation systems
· Zone Pressure Diagnostics (ZPD), classroom and field
· Combustion safety testing and analysis
· The Hole Story of Air Leakage Metrics
We helped develop the standard WAP curricula, often serve as subject matter experts, and have authored at least ten technical manuals for state weatherization programs. Rick Karg has served on the ASHRAE 62.2 committee since 2007 and is the head of the existing dwellings group. He also serves on the ASHRAE Residential Building Committee and was appointed to the Epidemic Task Force in 2020. In 2013 Mr. Karg spoke at the White House in support of the Weatherization Assistance Program (a NASCSP event) and in 2016 he was inducted into the Building Performance Institute (BPI) Hall of Fame.
