Congress Passes CR to Dec. 20

The Senate passed a Continuing Resolution (CR) today by a vote of 74 to 20. The House passed this CR on Tuesday by a vote of 231 to 192. President Trump is expected to sign the CR, avoiding a government shutdown and extending funding through December 20th.

Congressional appropriators are still working to finalize the FY 2020 appropriations bills and there are very few working days before the new December 20th deadline. An additional CR may be needed if Congress cannot pass all of its funding packages. NASCSP will keep you updated as the appropriations process continues.
