Energy Administrative Asssitant

The State of Maryland is hiring an Energy Administrative Assistant to support its Housing and Building Energy Programs. This contractual position will provide administrative and customer service support for energy programs, including the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP). Responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries, providing status updates, processing documentation, addressing client concerns, and escalating issues as needed. The role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of administrative, clerical, clerical-technical, or secretarial experience. College education may substitute for required experience. Experience working directly with customers or with government programs serving low- to moderate-income individuals and families is preferred. The salary range is $25.10–$27.17 per hour, with promotional growth up to $39.59 per hour.
