Submissions must be received by: June 20, 2011, 5 PM ET NASCSP seeks proposals for a project to conduct a series of five (5) interactive workshops on ?An Introduction to Healthy Homes.? Each workshop will be six (6) hours in length. Workshops will be presented at five (5) locations around the United States. The proposed dates and locations are listed in the estimated timeline. The primary audience will be weatherization and energy services providers; however, the workshops will be announced broadly and it is expected that other social service providers may attend as well. This course will provide an opportunity for participants to learn about healthy housing strategies and how to integrate these strategies into the home energy upgrades commonly performed by WAP practitioners. This workshop will also review the new 2011 Weatherization Health and Safety Guidance issued in DOE Weatherization Program Notice (WPN) 11-6, related EPA Protocols, and engage the participants in interactive sessions to diagnose and solve health hazards and identify health resources and services that can be integrated with and enhance energy upgrades.
