​The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare’s (DHW) Division of Self Reliance is hiring a Program Specialist in Boise, Idaho. This full-time position supports the statewide Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program to alleviate poverty by helping people achieve self-sufficiency. The role involves grant and contract development, budgeting, policy design, training and technical assistance, and program monitoring; statewide and some out-of-state travel are required. Candidates should have 1 year of experience in developing or evaluating procedures, creating technical written materials (policy/manuals), and providing technical assistance to staff. Preferred experience includes grant/contract development or monitoring, working with technology/automation, working with Community Action Agencies, and managing program budgets. This position offers a flexible/hybrid remote option after probation and training, as well as eligibility for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
