The Department of Economic Security, Division of Aging and Adult Services, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Empowerment Programs Coordinator with the Community Action Programs Section. DAAS supports at-risk Arizonans to meet their basic needs and to live safely, with dignity and independence. Services and programs reach a diverse population of Arizonans from homeless youth to older adults. This position is responsible for:
- Responsible for administering and providing oversight of the Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) and Social Service Block Grant (SSBG) programs which help individuals and low-income families and households residing throughout Arizona achieve economic security, promote health and economic opportunity in communities, and provide essential social services (case management, financial literacy, and education).
- Monitor and evaluate activities of grantees and sub-grantees and provide technical assistance and guidance in areas of program implementation, organizational management, service delivery, and data management/reporting. Track and analyze complex statistical and financial data in preparing a variety of federal and state reports and conduct analytical studies.
- Oversee and monitor contract compliance for both CSBG and SSBG, provide administrative program guidance, review of progress reports, technical assistance, and corrective action plans, etc.
- Act as a liaison to CSBG and SSBG-related organizations. Create inter-organization partnerships to access innovative program ideas and coordinate services. Present to community organizations and groups.
