This position is a highly visible role that works closely with the OHCS Executive and Deputy Directors to provide overall management and direction to the Housing Stabilization Division. The Director of Housing Stabilization will coordinate the development and implementation of service delivery and create key goals and metrics of the agency’s strategic plan. This position will build and foster collaborative working relationships with community partners, the Governor’s office, legislators, state agency partners, and other key external stakeholders. They will manage, coordinate and guide program managers and staff in the research, analysis, development, and implementation of key agency programs, and represent the agency in various public venues including Cabinet meetings, legislative testimony, stakeholder events, and national convenings including the Housing Stability Council. This position has full authority over decision-making, direction setting, and public engagement for the division. This includes establishing and driving the overall policy and program direction for Housing Stabilization programs, contributing to the overall policy and program direction for OHCS, and serving as a member of the OHCS Executive Team. This Director of Housing Stabilization will lead high-profile federal assistance programs and help to build OHCS’ vision and action to advance the policy priority of Equity and Racial Justice.
