The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s State Energy Office has an open opportunity for an Administrative Specialist II.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists with and provide support for energy efficiency, renewable energy, environmental and energy policy programs and projects. This includes developing schedules, taking meeting transcriptions and minutes, creating meeting summaries, and providing any needed administrative support.·
- Develops, writes, and maintains office work procedures and policies including onboarding and offboarding, as well as assisting with the smooth transition of new hires.
- Assists with travel authorizations and reimbursements, Human Resources requests, and tracking public inquiries for the Office.
- Assists the Business Team with contractual agreements, tracking and monitoring executed contracts, invoice processing and other financial actions for energy programs.
- Manages the State Heating Oil and Propane Price Survey Report Program by collecting supply and price data.
- Completes inventory reports and compiles annual Fixed-Asset Report; serves as first point-of-contact for the State Energy Office to both internal and external customers; plans and coordinates various staff meetings, retreats and trainings; and assists staff with the management of various energy programs, as needed.
This is a time-limited position and currently qualifies for a hybrid telework option with routine office and remote workdays, with the office located in Raleigh, NC.
