Summary:

Welcome to the Green Jobs Academy (GJA) at the South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC). Since 2010, GJA/SMOC has been preferred resource for information, technical training, and best practices in the home performance industry. GJA is one of the leading providers of building science trainings in Massachusetts. Our facilities, in Worcester and Framingham, MA, are designed to integrate classroom training and laboratory exercises providing field technicians an exceptional learning experience. GJA assists both Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) agencies and home performance contractors in staying current with all trainings mandated by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (DHCD) and the utilities (MassSave). The trainers at the GJA are experts in their field. GJA is a Building Performance Institute (BPI) Testing Center, BPI GoldStar Contractor and BPI affiliate. We offer training and written/field tests at our Worcester and Framingham locations. Most of our courses are eligible for continuing education units (CEU’s).
